As a ministry leader, I regularly have the opportunity to teach to the young adults (20-somethings) that I lead. And in doing so, I am always looking for great resources to use as illustrations and/or discussion starters for our discipleship time. One of the cool resources that I’ve found is Sermonspice.com. Sermonspice offers tons of videos that can be used to start small group discussions, or as teaching illustrations.

While I think that some of the videos here can be a bit pricey, they also offer a Free Video for download. The free video rotates every so often, so that every once in a while when you check back there is a new one available for free download.

Regardless of price, you will always find high-quality videos that make some strong statements. Particularly, the man-on-the-street video interviews are amazing! Too often the church gets stuck inside its little bubble, and we need to be reminded of what most people in the secular society understand about topics that are important to the church. Check out the previews of videos like…

The tools that Sermonspice offers are worthwhile for anyone that wants to bring relevant, challenging media into your Bible study or teaching. I encourage you to check it out, and even if you don’t have a need to purchase videos for teaching, then watch some and let them challenge you to be a better Christian. I know that they do that for me…
