while we were still sinners
Weak. Ungodly. Sinner. That's exactly what I once was. (And sometimes still am.) But thankfully, God had a different plan for me. He wasn't accepting of those labels which I and other people put on me. Paul writes in his letter to the Romans, For while we were still...
one reason you shouldn’t ditch the spaghetti luncheon
My spiritual mentor is tiny in stature, yet fierce in strength. If you walked into a room, you wouldn’t notice her. Soft spoken voice and quiet laugh, she blends into a crowd. I met Eileen when my husband and I attended a lunch at a new church. Before we walked...
in which i stretch out my palms
I stretch out on the blue carpet in front of the family room fireplace, palms up. And I beg God to let me feel the pain, to identify with what Jesus experienced as spikes seared his flesh. But as I wait in the stillness, I sense these words. "It is finished. Done....

A Message From Dan
What does it look like to live a Christian life? Like, TRULY live a Christian life? If I’m honest, I’m over the fake front of being a happy, blessed, and perfect person in order to impress others. Truth is, I’m a sinner who’s just trying to figure out how to do this without looking like an absolute fool. I think the Christian life is about admitting our brokenness, while raising our hand to say,”Here I am Lord! What would You have me do?” And that’s what this blog is all about… just a dude trying to do the best I can, and maybe hoping that you’re stumbling through the same journey. Maybe we can walk together.
