arthur brazierI never knew him, but today Dr. Arthur Brazier lost a five-year battle with prostate cancer.

Dr. Brazier was civil rights activist, author, bishop, and pastor emeritus of Apostolic Church of God in Chicago. He also seems to have had a preaching style and personality that many admired. I really don’t know much about him, but after watching a few YouTube videos of his preaching, he seems to be the kind of guy that I would have liked. And I can also easily see that this man left a mark on this world that should inspire all of us to leave a mark on our communities.

One of the videos of him that I came across (below), ironically was him talking about death. And after watching it I wonder if rather than saying that he “lost a five-year battle with prostate cancer,” that maybe it’s more appropriate to say that he finally won the battle.

Rest in peace Dr. Arthur Brazier. Amen.
