  • Rise and shine! Looking forward to our first full day here I Haiti. Coffee is ready and the team is starting to stir. Let’s do this! #
  • RT @kristabelieves: @bibledude glad you are there. Remember it’s not complicated…just love people. #
  • @kristabelieves we’re about to head out… today we’re spending the day with some of the orphans in Port-au-Prince. it’s gonna be awesome! #
  • Just arrived at the Yahveh Shammah orphanage. Getting the tour and talk now, then going to spend the day loving on the kids. #Godishere #
  • “There are so many thing that need to get done, sometimes its hard to know where to start.” – Pastor Gaetan #haiti #
  • “No matter how difficult it is to do something, when God calls you to do it then you’ll just do it.” – Pastor Gaetan #haiti #
  • “Even if God doesn’t answer my prayers, He always answers the prayers of the kids, and they pray together every day.” – Pastor Gaetan #haiti #
  • “Every day people try to bring more kids here (to the orphanage), but we just don’t have the room.” – Pastor Gaetan #haiti #
  • One of the biggest reasons for the orphan problem in Haiti is parents who just don’t have the means to feed/provide for their children. #
  • Often the orphanages provide a much better standard of living than the community, only driving parents to want to send their kids to them. #
  • Haiti should technically be a rainforest, but right now only has 2% of the trees that should be here. #feedingthecycleofpoverty #
  • Pastor Gaetan comes up to the roof often to pray for the orphans God has entrusted into his care… http://t.co/jU42aVB8 #
  • it was awesome seeing the impact of so many @helpendpoverty projects, especially as a result of @gs4o #garagesaleforophans #
  • We got to visit Sylvestre’s house… he survived the earthquake while sitting outside while it was demolished. #haitianmountainliving #
  • while they have (some) electricity, people in Sylvestre’s neighborhood don’t have running water or sanitation services. #haiti #
  • many of the tent cities in Haiti have been removed in the last month or so, but most don’t know where the people have gone. #
  • Realizing how important it is for Americans to take more of a backseat in community development in Haiti. #onlydayoneofthistrip #
