A picture is worth a thousand words, right?

Well, as I’ve considered what kind of creative challenge to offer here next, I quickly realized that there are few things as powerful as our testimonies. So I wanted to make this next creative challenge all about people sharing their testimonies! Collectively, this could be a really powerful compilation!

photographerSo I thought about creating some guidelines around how to submit an appropriate entry. During this process, I considered providing some guidance on what makes a good testimony, what things I would need when publishing this content on the website, and even things like writing guidelines (word count, etc.). I figured that a good length for something like this should probably not exceed about 1,000 words…   Then it hit me!

A picture is worth a thousand words!

The creative challenge for the month of September is to submit a picture testimony! No words…   No titles…   Only pictures!

Here are the rules:

  1. Only pictures should be submitted. Any photo, scanned image, or any other electronic image file is allowed.
  2. No words can be included on or with the image. Let the picture tell the story.
  3. It can be any testimony. It can be about your personal salvation, a specific event in your Christian walk, or some other meaningful testimony that you wish to share.
  4. Add your photo (or other image file) to the Fan Photos on the BibleDude.net fan page on Facebook…
    • Go to http://www.facebook.com/bibledude.net
    • In the “What’s on your mind?” field type “my picture testimony (I’m a Windows/Mac user)” …that last part is for prize eligibility.
    • Attach a photo by clicking on the “Photo” icon next to “Attach”
    • Upload the photo from your computer
    • Click on the Share button (this will post the photo on the wall, and add it to the ‘Fan Photos’ on the Photos tab)
  5. Browse other photos (in the ‘Fan Photos’ of the Photos tab), and ‘like’ the ones that you think are totally awesome!

Here are the prizes:

Based on viewers ‘likes’ two winners will be picked to receive some awesome stuff courtesy of my friends at Zondervan! The top vote-getter who is a Windows user and the top vote-getter who is a Mac user will win the following Bible software…
