Prayer is the foundation of any successful mission trip. And with a trip into the poorest nation in the Western hemisphere, we’re counting on prayer to deliver us through an amazing journey with God (both for us and the people we’re ministering to).

Our youth group team of 48 will be ministering to area youth, children from the orphanages, and people in the tent cities of Port-au-Prince. While we’re there, we’d LOVE for you to join us in prayer.

Therefore, I’d like to provide you with our agenda so that you know how to pray

Friday, August 6th

  • Travel from Sarasota to Ft. Lauderdale to Port-au-Prince
  • Settle in at our base-camp
  • Tour Port-au-Prince and pray over city

Saturday, August 7th

Sunday, August 8th

  • Morning local church services
  • Afternoon free time
  • Prepare meals for village orphanage visit (on Monday)
  • Evening ministry at host church or street ministry

Monday, August 9th

  • Visit village orphanage to deliver food and drama ministry
  • Evening prep for VBS at host church/orphanage (on Tuesday)

Tuesday, August 10th

  • AM – Vacation Bible School (first day of two-day VBS) at host church (approximately 500 kids expected)
  • PM – Ministry at tent cities

Wednesday, August 11th

  • AM – Vacation Bible School (second day of two-day VBS) at host church
  • PM – Ministry at tent cities

Thursday, August 12th

  • Sight-seeing and free day

Friday, August 13th

  • Visit village orphanage to deliver food and drama ministry
  • PM – Ministry outreach

Saturday, August 14th

  • AM – Vacation Bible School (one-day VBS program) at another church
  • PM – Ministry outreach

Sunday, August 15th

  • Morning local church services
  • Travel from Port-au-Prince to Miami to Sarasota

As with any mission trip, we’re planning on being flexible. Especially with such a large team, even the ‘simple’ act of transportation from one location to another can become a major obstacle. So in addition to the agenda itself we ask that people join us in praying for logistics and transportation, health of the team, and favorable weather.

Please feel free to pray with us in the comments section of this post (below). Thank you for joining us in this great work!

Our team appreciates all the prayers we can get! I'm expecting that we're gonna all get rocked on this trip by an amazing, big God that wants nothing more than to pour out His love on the Haitian people through us!

    Thank you!

Thanks JoDee! I appreciate everyone that tells me that they are praying! That makes you just as much a part of this trip as I am… that's one of the reasons that I'm trying to share so much here… so everyone can 'go with us'!

    Thanks!
