I love search engine traffic! And I especially love the new readers that I’ve been getting from some interesting conversations recently!

These conversations have focused on topics that I probably wouldn’t even be writing about if it wasn’t for a fun little blogging exercise like this.

What is it?

Pick a current topic from Google Trends and write about it in 250 words or less.

Others seem to be enjoying the exercise as well…

Thanks for this challenge – it’s a great one to get us thinking! (Crystal from Soul Munchies)

Def didn’t think that would be anywhere near as difficult as it turned out to be. Awesome challenge Dan, I’ll probably be doing that more often. (Seiji from Ignition Point)

this was fun!! i’m all for growing in my blogging abilities and this was a cool exercise to get me thinking. maybe i’ll add a weekly “trending” post to my blog. thanks for the inspiration!! (Amber from snidbits)

If you’re a blogger, then consider letting yourself be stretched a little bit. You’ll grow as a blogger. I promise.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Pick a topic from the top 20 Hot Searches list at Google Trends.
  2. Write a post at your blog not to exceed 250 words (to be posted on Wednesday).
  3. Share the link to your post below using the Simply Linked widget.
  4. Leave a comment here about what you learned most from this challenge.

Even if you’re not a blogger, then check out the cool posts that others submit here. There should be some pretty interesting conversations brewing!

    Gonna blog about “election polls.”

This is a cool post about politics. We often forget that while we have different ideas, we’re on the same team…

  2. Amber

as last time, i learned something new 🙂

I’ll be praying for @DemiLovato1992. I hate seeing youth role models struggle and end up in rehab. She needs our prayers that she would make it through and end up being a stronger (and positive) role model for other youth.

Nice post Amber! Thanks for participating!

    Posted: blog about Sparky Anderson

    • @bibledude

Cool way to remember a great sports icon like Sparky! Thanks for posting!
