  • enjoying a snack of dulce de mani (peanut candy) and chicharritas (fried plantains). mmm… #dominicanrepublic#
  • meeting with pastor victor montero in his church. before working with #loveserves he says his vision was short-sighted. #
  • when pastor montero started focusing on the needs of his community his church grew from 17 to 110-120. #
  • cell groups in pastor montero’s church watch for needs in the community (mostly with elderly) and go out to meet those needs. #
  • (l-r) #loveserves #dominicanrepublic director Abel, area coach Rafael, and pastor Victor Montero. #goodworkhttp://plixi.com/p/84751591#

  • pastor montero works with community leaders to identify and fix problems. the church is part of the community, not an separate entity. #
  • pastor montero shares that the shift in focus (to the community) not only changed the lives of his congregation, but also his own. #
  • visiting pastor jose luciano’s church (iglesia de Dios misionera). #dominicanrepublic#
  • pastor luciano is sharing about the shift in focus he made to break away from ‘busy-ness’ as an excuse. http://plixi.com/p/84762250#

  • pastor luciano’s church is very intentional about visiting hospitals and the infirm elderly in the community to help them with any needs. #
  • pastor luciano’s church supports their ministry to the community by making bread (and other baked goods) and selling them in the marketplace #
  • even non-church members in the area are helping pastor luciano’s ministry work because of the positive impact on the community. #goodwork#
  • pastor luciano doesn’t want to live just by words, but by action and the testimony of what God has done in him. #dominican republic #
  • losing daylight (through the trees) in the #dominicanrepublichttp://plixi.com/p/84769165#

  • i’m impressed and inspired by the pastors i’m meeting here in the #dominicanrepublic who are transforming their communities. #goodwork#
  • Dinner with the local ministry/coaching team. Pollo tropical… (@ Adrian Tropical) http://4sq.com/hqMhin#
