stuck doing 35 in a 45
I love the morning drive when I take my son to school. Well, most of it. We don't always talk much. But we pray together every morning when we get close to the school. That's my favorite time, as I lift him up to the Lord, ask for protection, and that He grant him...
serving at home: when scraping dirty dishes doesn’t feel like service
I wake up early to clean the kitchen. I'm not a neat freak, but I wake up early to clean the kitchen because although I try to be fine with dirty dinner dishes sitting in the sink all night, I'm not fine with dirty dinner dishes sitting in the sink all day while I...
vagrant spirituality
"So easily 'spirituality' becomes a cafeteria through which we walk making selections according to our taste an appetite... confinement turns into concentration, illusion transmutes into hope, death changes to resurrection." - Eugene Peterson I'm a bit of a vagrant...

A Message From Dan
What does it look like to live a Christian life? Like, TRULY live a Christian life? If I’m honest, I’m over the fake front of being a happy, blessed, and perfect person in order to impress others. Truth is, I’m a sinner who’s just trying to figure out how to do this without looking like an absolute fool. I think the Christian life is about admitting our brokenness, while raising our hand to say,”Here I am Lord! What would You have me do?” And that’s what this blog is all about… just a dude trying to do the best I can, and maybe hoping that you’re stumbling through the same journey. Maybe we can walk together.
