One of the youth in my youth group got baptized today! And I was honored to be one of her sponsors presenting her for Holy Baptism.
She started coming to #EYCmountdora as a 6th grader the first Sunday that I was also just starting my role leading the youth.
And it`s been incredible to watch her growth in the faith. I love seeing her lean into Bible study and discussion, soaking up every bit of it that she can.
She`s also been stepping up in school as a leader in her middle school`s Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Days like this make all of the effort totally worth it!

Peak of the #partialeclipse from Central Florida. Definitely a shift in the brightness and vibe outside. It`s cool that while the direct shot of the Sun still feels pretty full, that we get that little reflection/shadow of it in the camera lens that shows the coverage.
It looks like where we live will be in the path of totality for an eclipse in August 2045! Just for the record... party at my house that day!

I had the opportunity to serve with Bishop @justinholcomb today while he was filling in for the priest at @stthomaseustis. The services went well, and we even had some fun along with a couple of my fellow diaconate aspirants.
I just gotta say that in the last (fun) pic, Bishop Justin looks WAY too much like this wasn`t the first time he`s held his crozier (staff) like he`s some kind of powerful wizard about to slay the evil dragon who`s been tormenting his villiage... 🧙♂️
We had a great time serving together, and I`m proud to be part of the @cfdiocese with such incredible people!

I got to preach today to my fellow diaconate students (now available on the blog, link in bio) today...
My prayer is that I`m able to follow in the footsteps of guys like Peter and John (see Acts 4), Luke the Evangelist, and @tobymac as I, "cannot help but to speak about what I have seen and heard," with great boldness.
P.S. I love the light from the stained glass on the wall over the altar behind me!

A Message From Dan
What does it look like to live a Christian life? Like, TRULY live a Christian life? If I’m honest, I’m over the fake front of being a happy, blessed, and perfect person in order to impress others. Truth is, I’m a sinner who’s just trying to figure out how to do this without looking like an absolute fool. I think the Christian life is about admitting our brokenness, while raising our hand to say,”Here I am Lord! What would You have me do?” And that’s what this blog is all about… just a dude trying to do the best I can, and maybe hoping that you’re stumbling through the same journey. Maybe we can walk together.
