It’s time to throw in a little twist!
The Google Trends posts have been really great, and we’ll continue to do those. But I’d like to change up the writing inspiration a little bit from time to time, and I think it would be fun to use a photo instead of search engine trending topics this week.
I believe that using good imagery is an important part of blogging. While my thoughts on this are purely anecdotal, the use of good images seems to increase the ‘stickiness’ of a post.
What’s even more fun about this wednesday trendsday challenge is not that you’ll find a good image to go with a post that you’re already writing, but to find an interesting image and let it inspire your writing.
If you’re a blogger, then consider letting yourself be stretched a little bit. You’ll grow as a blogger. I promise.
Here’s how it works:
- Pick a photo from the ‘interesting’ sort of photos tagged as Creative Commons license.
- Write a post about the photo at your blog not to exceed 250 words (to be posted on Wednesday).
- Share the link to your post below using the Simply Linked widget.
- Leave a comment here about what you learned most from this challenge.
Even if you’re not a blogger, then check out the cool posts that others submit here. There should be some pretty interesting conversations brewing!
