When Peter penned these words, he was writing instructions to wives about what their conduct should be like. Most (honest) men would agree that it is this ‘gentle and quiet spirit’ that Peter speaks of that makes women the damsel that we want to rescue. It is the quality that we today we call femininity.
Now I don’t know Laura Boggess very well yet, but her work through HighCallingBlogs.com has made me take serious notice of her. And from what I can tell, she’s definitely one of these ‘gentle and quiet spirit’ women.
Laura’s blog is called The Wellspring: Where my heart overflows…
The Wellspring is not the kind of blog that you would normally find a dude like me hanging around. However, I think that her contribution to the Christian conversation is an important one. When reading her stuff it is very easy to see the emotional side of the conversation. That’s very different than what I’m used to, but certainly something that I need. Reading her stuff just brings a smile to my heart!
