Provocative, controversial, and entertaining.
These are the things that Rev. Greg Glatz promises to bring to his work in talk radio. Greg is the co-host with Marlo Boux on the popular GodTalk Radio Show. Greg is also a guitar-playin’ pastor who is working on his doctorate in postmodern missiology. I think that officially makes him one of the coolest and smartest people that I know!
I first met Greg when my old blogging friend Marlo joined him on the GodTalk Radio Show. Obviously I was pretty excited when he agreed to join me as a contributor (for chapter 3: neighbor) on the group blogging project for Dave Gibbon’s The Monkey and the Fish. His contribution there was one of the most real and authentic contributions that I’ve had on a project like that.
Greg’s blog is aptly called Rock ‘n’ Roll Preacha, and is one of the most thought-provoking blogs that I know of. Greg seems to rarely write lots of long perspectives on interesting topics, but he does pose lots of questions that will make you think about how your faith can be relevant in your culture. I gotta say, I really appreciate how he makes me think.
But this recommendation comes with a warning. If you are one of those comfortable, pew-warming Christians, then it is probably best that you stick with thinking about what you’re going to bring to the next potluck for your small group. But if you are serious about engaging culture and being the kind of Christian who wants to change (better yet, rock) the world around you, then the Preacha is definitely worth a look…

How much fun …and seriousness can one person have!
