what can (and should) Christians do about syria
Have you ever seen something that you wish you could un-see? Seeing it means that you are now accountable to do something. Well, maybe not technically speaking. But I believe that ignoring injustice is one of the most un-Christian things someone can do. I don't want...
the problem with missions
The problem with missions is there are no worthy people. Only a worthy God. Thus grace. If we were worthy, well that would make the whole escapade quite a bit simpler. If we could measure up those we deem deserving, the orphans and widows and oppressed, we could fuel...
shifting blame
It's fairly common in a situation to want to shift the blame to the other person. Instead of looking for solutions, we are busy saving face. My first reaction is to point the finger. It's a knee-jerk reaction. When I have had time away from the situation, I think more...
lee daniels’ the butler: some reflections

A Message From Dan
What does it look like to live a Christian life? Like, TRULY live a Christian life? If I’m honest, I’m over the fake front of being a happy, blessed, and perfect person in order to impress others. Truth is, I’m a sinner who’s just trying to figure out how to do this without looking like an absolute fool. I think the Christian life is about admitting our brokenness, while raising our hand to say,”Here I am Lord! What would You have me do?” And that’s what this blog is all about… just a dude trying to do the best I can, and maybe hoping that you’re stumbling through the same journey. Maybe we can walk together.
